Cemetery Photos

Hello! Wow, wow, wow. It's been over a month since I've blogged, since I've checked my emails and lovely comments from all of you, and visited any of your blogs, and I am so sorry. Not to start this post on a bad note, but my best excuse for my absence is that my grandmother passed away after suffering from strokes and Alzheimer's for seven years. Of course, I'm extremely saddened but it's very nice to know that she is at peace now.

On a happy note, WOW! All of your comments and visits and follows have been amazing! Since I've been gone, I've gotten over twenty-five new followers both here and on Bloglovin, and won three awards. Plus, my last two posts both got over 150 views, making my total pageviews for this blog over 10,000! You guys are amazing. :)

Anyway, today, I'm going to share some photographs that I am very happy with. I went to a cemetery to take pictures, which sounds strange, but it was really cool and definitely different than what I normally take pictures of. So here you are...

What do you think? Do you have a favorite? My favorites are the tree one, because it looks like a painting to me, the windy road one, and my absolute favorite is the row of tombstones. It has such an eerie feeling to it, but it looks amazing.
Also, I'd love it if you would check out my Tumblr and perhaps follow? Thank you!
Also, I won an award. Continue reading if you'd like.

I've won the Seriously! What a Great Blog award again. Rules:

1.) Future job? Author and teacher.
2.) Favorite singer/band? Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, One Direction <3 span="">
3.) Favorite Sweet? Oh hey, it's black again. Anything chocolate!

  1. I quite love the brand new layout you've created! And I'm glad that you're back to blogging!

I'm very sorry to hear of your grandmother passing away, but understand being glad that she's no longer suffering. My grandmother had Alzheimer's for many years also.

My favorite photo is the one of the windy road - there is something very significant about it! I can't wait to see more photos!

  3. so sorry about your grandma. My father in law has alzheimer's too and he's on his last stage of it. He's at the hospital now and just day by day depreciating. It is hard to see people to suffer from this disease that you would not wish for anyone to have since it has no cure. I love the photos and actually my husband suggested to have my outfit photos taken on a cemetary.

  6. Juliet I love your photos, however... I am so sorry about loosing a loved one, that is never easy. I wish you well in your healing and time of need. My favorite image is the one with the daffodils, they are my favorite flower and that image reminds me of a line from the dead poets society.

  13. Hi Juliet,

The photos are lovely and I think cemeteries are lovely instead of morbid because the people who visit them are acting out of love and passing time in the state of memory.
I went on an Irish roadtrip a few years back and pretty much all of the trip photos are from cemeteries!

  19. I absolutely love the Calderone tomb stone photo and the one of all of them in a row.

I can understand why after a special person passing, you'd find solitude in the cemetery. Your photo's are incredible and I hope it helped to some extent.

Many happy thoughts and strength being sent your way during this difficult time xx
